An Export Supply Chain Built for International Agricultural Markets

OEM partners operating in regulated import markets — particularly Australia, New Zealand, and Canada — require more than a capable manufacturer. They need a supplier whose documentation meets border agency requirements, whose production timeline accounts for shipping lead times, and whose after-sales support can respond across time zones.

Balerhay has been supplying agricultural equipment to international buyers for over a decade. Our export operations team manages container bookings, multimodal freight coordination, port-of-destination checks, and customs agent liaison on behalf of buyers who prefer a managed logistics experience.

FCL and LCL container planning with optimised load configuration
Phytosanitary certificates issued for AU / NZ biosecurity compliance
Certificates of Origin for preferential tariff qualification under FTAs
Pre-shipment inspection facilitated via SGS, BV or equivalent

Common Questions

OEM & Customisation — Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions we receive from new OEM enquiries. For specific technical questions, use the enquiry form below.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for OEM orders?

MOQ varies by product. For standard product configurations with private label branding only, we accept orders from 3 units upward. For models requiring custom engineering changes — modified bale diameter, altered pickup width, or non-standard PTO specifications — MOQ is typically 5–10 units to offset tooling and setup costs. Sample units (1 piece) are available prior to committing to a full OEM run. Contact our sales team with your product and quantity for a confirmed MOQ.

How long does OEM production typically take from order confirmation to shipment?

Standard private label orders (branding only, no mechanical changes) typically complete production in 20–30 days from deposit payment. Orders requiring custom engineering modifications take 35–50 days, depending on the complexity of the change and whether tooling is required. Sample production prior to bulk order typically adds 15–20 days. We provide a written production schedule at order confirmation, with milestone updates at each stage. Peak season (August–November) may extend standard lead times by 7–14 days — plan accordingly for seasonal buying cycles.

What tractor HP do I need for your hay rakes?

A finger wheel rake uses multiple ground-driven rotating wheels with spring-steel tines to gather already-cut hay into windrows. A mower windrower combines cutting and raking in one pass — it mows standing grass and immediately forms a windrow, saving time and eliminating a separate raking operation.

Can you supply machines with no branding at all for self-badging on arrival?

es. Neutral / unbranded machines are available. In this configuration, machines are delivered with no visible supplier branding on the bodywork, decals, or operator manual. Buyers apply their own decals on arrival, which is a common workflow for dealers who localise their branding in-country. We recommend confirming the paint colour and surface treatment standard before placing a neutral order, as the base coat affects how self-adhesive decals adhere.

What documentation can you provide for customs clearance in Australia and New Zealand?

We issue the full standard export documentation set for every shipment: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (or air waybill), certificate of origin, and phytosanitary certificate. For Australian imports, we can prepare documentation in the format required by the Australian Border Force and DAFF (Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) biosecurity screening. For New Zealand, we follow MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) phytosanitary declaration requirements. CE technical documentation is also available for EU-bound shipments.

Is third-party pre-shipment inspection available?

es. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, or a buyer-nominated inspection agency can be arranged at the buyer’s cost. We facilitate factory access, provide inspection staging space, and supply product specifications to the inspector. For OEM orders above 10 units, we recommend a pre-shipment inspection — especially for first-time orders — as it provides independent confirmation of specification compliance before the container seals.

Can you supply ongoing spare parts under our private label for aftermarket distribution?

Yes, and this is one of the most valued services we provide to established OEM partners. After the initial machine order, we can supply branded spare parts — tines, belts, rollers, bearings, net wrap rollers, PTO shaft components — packaged in your branded cartons with your part numbers and barcode labels. This allows your dealer network to stock and sell genuine parts under your brand without requiring customers to identify the original equipment manufacturer. Minimum order quantities for spare parts are typically 50–200 units per part number, depending on the component.
